9.A - Mystery Skype with Sweden

On 7/10/2014 we had a really fun Mystery Skype lesson with our palls from Sweden. It took a long time to find out who is from where, however, we all finally got there with a bit of a help and some clues. Main thing is, we did our best to communicate as much as we could and we have learnt a lot. We found the Swedish school, Hjärupslundsskolan, on the internet and had a look at pictures from their countryside. Many thanks to Anna, the teacher from Sweden, for giving us this brilliant chance to practice English and to learn new things in fun way! :)

9.A - Mystery Skype with Iceland

On 30/10/2014 our 9 graders had their first Mystery Skype lesson with pupils from a small school Grunnskóli Önundarfjarðar in Flateyri, Iceland. At first it was hard to force oneselves to acually speak but many of ouf our students quickly overcame their shyness and therefore learned a lot from their classmates from far away. It was amazing to speak to the kids from a school where there are only 15 pupils! We were overwhelmed to see the view from their window - snow, mountains, typical Icelandic houses and snow again. Apart from our English conversantion, we also exchanged some phrases in our languages, we sang songs and had a good time sharing our English lesson. Many thanks to Maria, the teacher from Iceland, for this wonderful opportunity and hope to keep in touch! :)
